What "Quick Pick" actually means

At a US state-lottery retailer, "Quick Pick" is the option where the vending terminal fills your ticket with random numbers inside that game's specific matrix. Powerball gives you 5 from 1–69 plus a Powerball from 1–26. Match 6 gives you 6 from 1–49. Texas Two Step gives you 4 from 1–35 plus a bonus ball. The machine knows the rules; you just pay.

This page is the same idea, free. Pick the lottery from the dropdown, hit Generate, watch the slot-machine spin, and you get a combination you can play at any authorized retailer.

How is this different from Random Numbers?

Random Numbers lets you set the range yourself — pick any range from 2 to 1000, ask for up to 20 picks. Quick Pick locks the range to a real lottery's matrix automatically. If you have a ticket to fill, Quick Pick saves you from looking up the rules. If you want flexibility, Random Numbers is the right tool.

Will these numbers win?

They have the same odds as any other valid combination — that's the whole point of a uniform-random draw. For Powerball that's 1 in 292,201,338 for the jackpot, 1 in 11,688,053 for matching all five mains, 1 in 38 for matching just the Powerball. Lower-tier lotteries have shorter odds; for instance Match 6 (Pennsylvania) is 1 in 4,661,272 for the top prize. The generator can't bend those odds, only the matrix can.

What the generator can do is help you avoid over-picked combinations. About a third of all lottery tickets played in any draw include a number from 1 to 31 (people pick birthdays). If your generated set is heavy in 32+, you're statistically less likely to share a prize if you win. Not better odds of winning — better odds of getting the full payout if you do.

Frequently asked questions

What does 'Quick Pick' actually mean?
At a US state-lottery retailer, asking for Quick Pick lets the vending machine pick your numbers using its own RNG within that game's rules. This page does the same thing — for free, without buying a ticket. Pick the lottery you want from the dropdown, hit Generate, get a valid combination.
Will these numbers win me a real prize?
Only if you actually buy a ticket with the same numbers. This page is a free generator, not a ticket purchase. Once you generate, copy the numbers down and play them at an authorized retailer or your state lottery's app. Your odds match the lottery's stated odds — Powerball is 1 in 292,201,338 for the jackpot, no website can change that.
Are these picks statistically equivalent to the retailer's Quick Pick?
Yes, in the way that matters: both produce a uniform-random combination within the lottery's matrix. The retailer machine uses its own hardware RNG; this site uses Math.random. Neither is cryptographic, but both pass standard distribution tests. No bias, no patterns, every valid combination equally likely.
Which lotteries are supported?
The big multi-state games — Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto America — plus state games like Lotto Texas, Texas Two Step, Match 6, Super Lotto Plus, Wild Money, Keno, Classic Lotto 47, Bank a Million, Bonus Match 5, All or Nothing and Tri-State Megabucks Plus. Use the More lotteries dropdown for the full list.
Why isn't [X lottery] available?
Either the game is discontinued (Cash4Life and Lucky for Life ended Feb 2026; Jumbo Bucks Lotto ended Nov 2024; Weekly Grand ended Jun 2024) or it's an international / scratch-off game we don't currently model. Email us through the contact page if there's an active US lottery you'd like added.
How is this different from Lucky Numbers?
Quick Pick is fresh and random — different numbers every click. Lucky Numbers is deterministic by date — type a date, get the same six every time. Different use cases: Quick Pick for 'I want a play right now', Lucky Numbers for 'these are MY numbers, the ones I always play'.
