Texas Two Step
Texas Two Step is the Texas Lottery's twice-weekly cash jackpot game. Four numbers from 1 to 35, plus a Bonus Ball drawn from the same 1-to-35 pool. Tickets are one dollar.
How it works: Texas Two Step
Pick four main numbers from 1 to 35 and one Bonus Ball from 1 to 35, or take a Quick Pick. Tickets cost a dollar. Match all four mains plus the Bonus to win the rolling jackpot, which starts at $200,000. Lower tiers pay across nine other ways to win.
The real odds of Texas Two Step
These figures come straight from the game's official number matrix, so they're fixed by math — not by which numbers you pick. A quick pick has exactly the same chance as any other combination, and no generator can change that.

A brief history
Texas Two Step debuted on May 18, 2001 as a counterpart to the much bigger Lotto Texas. The Bonus Ball mechanic — drawn from the same pool but treated separately for matching — adds extra prize tiers without raising the jackpot odds too far. Largest jackpot to date: $3.65 million in November 2007.
